Frequently asked questions

What does InvoiceStars do?

When a customer pays a QuickBooks Online invoice in full, InvoiceStars sends them a short request to leave a Google review.

How does it connect to QuickBooks?

It is a native QuickBooks Online integration. You connect with Intuit's own sign-in (OAuth), and QuickBooks webhooks tell InvoiceStars when a payment comes in. You do not need Zapier.

What if a customer pays a deposit first?

Nothing is sent until the invoice balance is $0. Deposits and partial payments do not trigger a request.

Does InvoiceStars change anything in my QuickBooks?

No. It only reads the customer, invoice and payment data it needs to send requests.

Does it send email or text messages?

Email + SMS (SMS coming). Email works today. Text messages start once US carrier registration (10DLC) for your business is complete.

Who is it for?

B2B service businesses that bill in QuickBooks Online: print and embroidery shops, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, cleaning, auto repair, and agencies.

How much does it cost?

$25 per month per location, with a 14-day free trial and no setup fee. It is month to month and you can cancel anytime.

Is there a setup fee?

No. There is no setup fee.

Is this allowed by Google?

Yes. InvoiceStars asks every customer who pays. It does not filter out unhappy customers and does not offer rewards for reviews, both of which Google bans.

Can I approve requests before they go out?

Yes. Turn on approval mode and each request waits for you to approve it before it is sent.

How many times is a customer asked?

Once, plus one reminder at most if they do not respond. Then InvoiceStars stops.

What is the Review Score checker?

A free tool that shows your Google rating and review count next to the top 3 nearby businesses in your category. It looks ratings up fresh from Google each time. InvoiceStars stores only Google place IDs, not ratings or review counts.
